Hi
I would like to know if there is a means allowing to create the home
directory set to ndsHomeDirectory when creating/updating a User entry
using LDAP apis
I'm not very optimistic :) because i read the following but since it was
posted in March 2004, maybe things have changes.
Thanks in advance,
J.

Q:
I used ICE to import multiple users into NDS from an LDIF file. I was able
to associate the home directory path with the user through the
ndsHomeDirectory attribute in the LDIF file. However, I want it to also
create the actual user document directory folder on the server. Right now
it imports the path but doesn't create the actual folder. Is there a way
to do this?
A:
Not strictly with LDIF. File System Factory could be used for a robust
solution, or if you are using a batch method, just create them in your
script somehow. There is also a free tool in Cool Solutions called "homes"
(do a search in Cool Tools). This will create the home directories, add
the attributes to the users, set rights and restrictions, etc.
